The Bridge Tea Rooms offer the most traditional of tea-taking experiences. The appearance is traditional both inside and out, with a bust of Queen Victoria in an alcove inside and the staff uniform from the Victorian era. There was an open fire too. Tea can be taken both on the ground floor and upstairs on the first floor
On this lunchtime visit, I chose a rather exquisite fruity coronation Wiltshire chicken, rich chocolate cake, and jasmine flavoured broken orange pekoe tea, for £16.85.
