Totnes in South Devon has two tearooms, one near each end of its steep high street. Anne of Cleves Tearoom and Restaurant is near the bottom and the less pretentious of the two. A wide range of hot and cold foods are served, as well as cakes and cream teas. This was a breakfast visit, and a well balanced bacon brunch and deceptively large pot of green tea came to £8.10.
